The stunning South Wales castle of Craig-y-Nos is the perfect destination for bed and breakfast holidays in the Upper Swansea Valley. Once owned by the illustrious Opera star of the Victorian era Adelina Patti, it was her refuge from 1878 to 1919, and then became a children's hospital until 1959.

It fell into disrepair, eventually needing total refurbishment to restore it to its former glory. Since the year 2000 the current owners have been involved in an extensive program of careful and painstaking work to restore this stunning Welsh castle and retain all the history of this important cultural edifice.
